ABOUT

by GeekSupport

Hello, Namaste, Vanakkam – welcome to Wordsopedia.

It is with great pride I welcome you into my dream home; a home I wish to share with you.

The journey behind Wordsopedia

In the words of E. L. Doctorow, the great American author, “Writing is an exploration. You start from nothing and learn as you go” and this quote perfectly sums my writing journey, which began with small unsure steps. Though it has been a bitter-sweet journey so far, the one thing which has been a constant all throughout is the learning which every happy or sad moment brought. Somewhere along the line, I realised my collection was growing multifold, and my musings needed a permanent home. Thus was born Wordsopedia where I not only treasure my thoughts but also share them with all.

What’s in here for you?

Treasured collection is a paradise for word lovers! Short stories make you laugh, cry and ponder. Poems to tug at your heartstrings. Articles on varied topics revolving around kids, teens, parents and much more…

This one is for book lovers – My plan for this year is to read and review as many books as I can (I want to put a number here, but for now, let’s say the number is in my brain and not out in public). Check out the book reviews section where I share detailed and honest reviews of the books. It will help you decide your next pick. And if there’s any book, you would like me to read and review, let me know, I’ll be on it right away!

And if you are a writer, check out my writing tips section. That’s where I share the tips I have picked up on this writing journey, be it adverbs or adjectives; flash fiction or drabble, when to show and when to tell… If there’s any topic you are looking for, e-mail or leave a comment; I will surely address it.

Well, apart from reading, you can also be a contributor here. After all, this is your home too! If you have a poem, a story, an article or a book review you would like to share, write in to us, and we will proudly feature it on our site. So wait no further, pour out your thoughts and send them to us at chandrasundeep@wordsopedia.com Our mailbox is waiting to hear from you.

After Happily Ever After

It’s such a wonderfully hilarious and sensitive book, it’s hard to believe it’s a debut. Empty nest syndrome affects thousands of parents each year. It’s not a disorder, but a combination of loneliness and grief when your children leav...
