Changed Forever

Shy and unsure; filled with trepidation and dreams

She stands across the threshold.

Decked in red, the lovely new bride

Has left behind her family, hearth and home

She reminds me of me; naïve, innocent, scared

The way I was, when I stood across the threshold.
